Platylobium is a landscape design consultancy based in Melbourne, working with clients Australia wide. Our design philosophy centres on creating functional landscapes that integrate design elements with the existing natural environment, with our changing climate in mind.
Nadia, Founder & Designer
Nadia studied Horticulture at the University of Melbourne (Burnley) and Conservation Ecology at Deakin University. She then spent many years in design, garden maintenance and bushland management before starting Platylobium in 2016. Her love of native plants began in childhood, exploring her family's bushland property and native garden in Eltham.
Lucy, Designer
Lucy has been part of Platylobium for five years. She also studied Conservation Ecology and has an absolute love and passion for creating gardens and native plants. She shares our belief in creating functional landscapes that integrate design elements with the existing natural environment.
Our extensive experience and background is in native and indigenous plant design, that works with the land and not against it. We show how native and indigenous plants can be used in a modern Australian style, in contrast to a traditional bush garden, an approach we brought to our garden at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show.
From small and large residential projects to commercial, council, industrial and environmental design and property management, plus garden design for bushfire resilience, we can run your unique project from beginning to completion, wherever in Australia you are.
